Residential Property Market Report
2025 Q3
As of the third quarter of 2025, Australia’s residential real estate market has shown broad resilience and steady upward momentum, driven mainly by strong population growth, tight housing supply, and gradually improving consumer confidence following earlier monetary easing. Since the first interest-rate cut in February, national dwelling values rose by 0.8% in September, lifting the annual increase to 4.8%—the strongest monthly rise since May 2024—indicating that activity in both capital-city and regional markets continues to rebound, albeit at a more sustainable pace than at the pandemic peak.
