A Night of Celebration | 2018 Wealth Pi Gala Dinner

“At the beginning of our Wealth Pi story, my business partner Olivia Jiang and I want build a  business which will achieve two goals: high level of professionalism and true integrity.” — Tiger Liu, Managing Director at Wealth Pi Fund.

On 15th November 2018, Wealth Pi Fund hosted a Night of Celebration for investors and partners who supported us during the year of 2018.

“Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.” Olivia Jiang, Director at Wealth Pi Fund, started her welcome remark with this ancient quote by Demosthenes.

“Wealth Pi Fund provides a much-needed alternate source of capital to commercial developers as traditional sources of funding either dried up or were greatly restricted. Non-bank financial lenders, like Wealth Pi Fund have stepped up to make finance available to commercial borrowers in a space that was once the sole domain of big four banks.”

Managing Director Tiger Liu, summarised the remarkable achievements by the Pallas & Wealth Pi Group in 2018.

  1. Over the year, the group made $263 Million property debt/investment transactions via secured bonds, managed funds and debt advisory.
  2. Among this, $91 Million were direct investment into our managed funds and secured bonds, earning an average return of 11.78% p.a. net to our investors. To date, $27 Million of these loan products have been fully repaid and the rest are on track and performing well.
  3. We have established strong partnership with over five family offices and investment institutions. They have participated in our previous investment and are keen to grow with our business together.
  4. To date, we have over 200 individual high net worth investors across Australia. And the number is increasing every day.

Craig Bannister, Partner at Pallas Capital, gave the guests an insight into the close relationship that exists between Pallas Capital and Wealth Pi Fund, as well as the benefits that the relationship gives to each group.

“The Wealth Pi team of Tiger Liu, Olivia Jiang, Wendy Fergie, Christina Jiang, Jack Jiang and Angel Nie bring a very different skill set to our business as they have an in-depth knowledge of, and a unique reach into, the Australian Chinese developer market which complements the property development & structured real estate lending expertise that exits within the Pallas group.”

“As we enter 2019, we are excited about the opportunities that exist in the commercial real estate lending market; and with the experience that exists within Wealth Pi and Pallas, we are well positioned to provide capital to experienced property developers and to provide our investors with an excellent investment product that delivers a stable high yield return backed by real estate assets along with company and personal guarantees to further strengthen our position on each loan” Craig expressed his confidence in our business model and unique value proposition.

“Now, as many of you know, property as an investment class has been the hype and focus of media/financial entities lately, in a fairly negative way. However, we prefer to remember the words of Warren Buffet that, ‘A public-opinion poll is no substitute for thought’.” said Wendy Fergie, Chief Investment Officer at Wealth Pi Fund.

Indeed, it was a night of celebration.

The Wealth Pi Team were very grateful for all the trust and support our clients and partners have in us.

We wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy new year!
